Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the BatteryInfo app and the batteryinfo.app website (together, the “Software”), provided by Kayra LLC (“we”, “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

License

BatteryInfo is free to use, for personal or commercial purposes. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on Macs you own or control. The Software is proprietary — it is not open source. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute it, and you may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify it except to the extent that applicable law permits.

The app is unsigned

BatteryInfo is distributed without Apple notarization. Our official downloads — the installer command and the .dmg at dl.batteryinfo.app — are the only versions we stand behind. Only install builds you obtain from us, and install at your own discretion.

No warranty

The Software is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. BatteryInfo reports readings from your Mac’s hardware sensors and system APIs; these values are estimates and may be inaccurate or unavailable. Do not rely on them for safety-critical decisions. We don’t guarantee the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every Mac or macOS version.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kayra LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the Software. Since BatteryInfo is provided free of charge, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero.

Trademarks

macOS, Mac, and Apple are trademarks of Apple Inc. BatteryInfo is an independent product and is not affiliated with, authorized, or endorsed by Apple.

Changes

We may update these terms; we’ll change the date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Kayra LLC is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
